One day, a patient, Emily, asked us if we could do anything for a friend of hers, Victoria, who suffered from 26 years of Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) (chronic inflammation of joints), and has been certified an OKU (Orang Kurang Upaya) / Disabled Person, by the specialists doctors and hospitals. RA is an auto-immune disease with no known cure, and no known cause as well.
We asked Victoria to come, no promises, to assess her existing condition and to treat her condition with the correct methodologies. Victoria was wheelchair bound, and used a pair of crutches when she needed to move from her wheelchair. On top of that, she wore knee guards to “strengthen” her knees and she had made an appointment with the orthopedic surgeon to replace her knees on the Jan 23rd 2017.
She came to see us in early December 2016, in a wheelchair and crutches, with a mental outlook of having nothing to lose. She had tried everything else western medicine and modern physiotherapy could offer as well as other alternative means of treatment, all to no avail. Steroid injections were the only choice of respite, but we all know the bad side effects of steroids on the body and blood vessels.
Victoria’s wrists and ankles were almost totally fused, after 26 years of RA, and her knees were crooked and stiff, with not much strength in them. Her fingers and toes also carried the toll of 26 years of RA.
We went to work on all of Victoria’s joints, and concentrated on the badly affected ones, with one hour treatment sessions, 2 sessions a week.
Either her husband or son would bring her to our clinic, mostly her husband, and at the end of the 2nd week and 4th treatment, voila, she could walk again all on her own, without any crutches, tongkats, nor people assisting.
Victoria and her husband were ecstatic! Her joints and condition kept improving until she can drive herself to our clinic after 1 month, totally independently mobile! One day, at the end of her sixth treatment, Victoria was walking out when her friend that recommended her to come to our clinic, Emily, walked in. Emily quickly rushed forward to support Victoria at her elbows and cried out:”What are you doing, Vicky?? Where are your crutches and wheelchair?!!” Victoria calmly replied while gently freeing herself from Emily’s death grip:”Hi Emily! I am walking again, Emily, thanks to your recommending me to Chin’s Qi Tuina Clinic!”.
By the 28th of December 2016, Victoria was able to drive all by herself to anywhere she wanted to go. Needless to say, her knees recovered to the point where she did not have to go for her knee replacement surgery on the 23rd January 2017.
She has been the centre of attention amongst her friends when she went back to her choir practice and dance rehearsals, walking in instead of being on crutches or in her wheelchair. Everyone who knew her and her RA ordeal well, surrounded her asking her what happened.
Victoria is still coming twice a week to our clinic and we have set a deadline by June 2017 for Victoria to dance again. She is participating in a charity show in KLPAC in July 2017 and we look forward to see her dancing on stage then.
How Qi Tuina works is that we unblock all the RA blocked Qi channels and “unfuse” the RA fused joints, while circulating the patients’ Qi throughout their bodies, and especially the affected joints. The patient MUST exercise on their own at home as well. Please see article on RA for more details.
Only when we fight RA together, will we win over RA.
