All of us have experienced pain at some point in time in our lives, and it is very unpleasant to say the least. Minor pain is niggling and inconvenient, and major pain, well, major pain can be downright debilitating.
Pain is the way our body communicates with us to tell us that something is seriously wrong with our bodies, and we need to seek treatment for it. Many people only feel the pain and seeks treatment for the pain, and not the CAUSE of the pain.
Also, many who seek treatment to find the cause of the pain, and fails to find it, end up only treating the pain, which only gives temporary relief, if any real relief at all. If the cause is not found and treated properly, it is almost certain that the pain will keep coming back with higher and higher intensity in many cases.
Therefore, you need to seek out someone who can diagnose accurately the cause of the pain, and who has the ability to give remedy and relief on a permanent basis, by treating the cause of the pain, and not the symptom of pain. If properly addressed, the pain felt should either be diminished by a large percentage, or totally disappear.
Do not fall prey to sinsehs, tit tah practitioners, OPT practitioners, chiropractors, and even orthopaedics and podiatrists who are not able to pinpoint the cause of your pain, wants to sign you on for a course of treatments because you need at least 5 to 10 treatments (this should be a good clue on how not good they are), and simply assumes (conjecture) you have osteophytes or spurs (we all do) which are impinging on a nerve, and needs surgery.
Always try the first session of treatment if they can give you a diagnosis which sounds plausible to you, but that treatment must give you relief (at least 50% better). If not, then please seek out a second, third or even fourth opinion.
Western doctors, orthopaedics etc. tend to treat pain with painkillers, anti-inflammation medication, and muscle relaxants. Painkillers are extremely bad for your kidneys, and please remember that Michael Jackson died from a painkiller overdose.
Let us concentrate on muscle, tendon, ligament, joint, skeletal (spinal) , as well as nervous, auto-immune pain, here.
From a dull ache and a sense of discomfort to excruciating pain, when you pay the doctor a visit, invariably, they will give you painkillers, celebrex, arcoxia, lyrica, etc, and muscle relaxant, and anti-inflammation medication just to curtail your pain symptom, to give you some relief from your pain, not your affliction, or what is causing the pain.
Most patients just want the pain to go away, immediately if possible, and are not very patient with anything else (excuse the pun ;).
We must remember that although pain can be very debilitating, it is just a mechanism used by our bodies to tell us something is wrong. We should not demonise pain, as it is a very good indication that we are alive, and the body is functioning. Patients who have suffered stroke before will understand that pain or any sensation they feel is much better than no feeling at all, or total numbness.
There are only 2 types of people who are totally pain free in this world; a dead one, or someone suffering from leprosy. Neither of these conditions are desirable, trust me !!
When going for treatment of any sort,
- Listen to the diagnosis, and weigh it against how you actually feel. Is it logical ?? Is it plausible ?? Is it reasonable ??
- After the treatment, how do you feel ?? Did the pain come back the day after ?? Did the treatment manage to reduce your pain ?? Has the pain gone ??
- If any doctor, or orthopaedic upon seeing you, and have not recommended any other treatment, but immediately ask you to admit yourself for an operation, never agree to it unless your condition is life threatening. Go for a second, third, fourth opinion, until you are satisfied you have covered all possibilities of a cure without undergoing operation. Operations should only be the very last option.
Real Cases of Patients in a lot of PAIN
Case 1 – Mr. Satyamoorthy 82 years old retired Civil Engineer.
Case 2 – Mrs. Kong 86 years young.
The above 2 cases are patients over 80 years old who have recovered the use of their knees and are living their normal MOBILE lives WITHOUT pain and without any knee replacement. The pain in their knees made them hobble only for short distances before collapsing in pain. If they can recover in less than a month, why can’t you ??
Earlier stages heal even faster, and there have been many cases which needed only 2 to 4 treatments. Treatment at our Centre is always affordable as we view this as a community service, and not a way to get rich. Poor, destitute people who suffer from pain are welcome to free treatment.

Last but not least, I have to mention Datuk Pardip Kumar Kukreja, the man who talked me into starting my Holistic Centre in February 2016.
I had retired end of 2015 from my IT career which spanned 2 decades, and was having 2016 Chinese New Year lunch with my old schoolmates and classmates from St. Johns’ in the Lake Club, when Datuk Pardip came in and hobbled to the chair next to mine, crashing down on it. He told everyone at the table how he had not golfed for 6 months due to his arthritic knees and how painful they were, and he was going for Total Knee Replacement later in the year, as even walking, was an ordeal.
I took his right leg and treated it with Qi Tuina, and he said that felt good and asked me to treat his left leg. Once done, he stood up and walked up a long flight of stairs nearby, then, he jumped up and down, and happily shouted that he could play golf again !! That was how this all started. He came over for 5 more treatments and that was it. No knee replacements !!
There is always HOPE, and always always treat the cause of the pain, and not just the pain.
