It can be an enormous pain to work for others that’s why so many employees eventually leave to start their own businesses. These are great bosses because they go to great lengths to make sure that you feel valued in their company. They make you feel that you’re not merely a company asset, but a human being with dignity.
But what makes a greatest boss? It’s when you read or hear about what they did for their employees and you can only exclaim in awe and envy – ‘Wow, I want a boss like that too!’ So if working for the corporate sector has dimmed your view of humanity by a lot, we have something that may cheer you up.
Here are 6 bosses who did extraordinarily amazing things for their employees.
1. This boss took his staff to a fully-paid vacation in France
You read right. Fully-paid. Vacation. France. This guy, Chinese billionaire Li Jinyuan of Tiens Group, took more than 6,000 of his employees to tour the country of love, wine, and all things expensive. They did all the expected stuff – like the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre.
In fact, some reports claim that the Louvre had to close to the public just to accommodate their private tour.
2. This boss took a huge pay cut, gave his workers a huge pay increase
This guy, CEO Dan Price of U.S. company Gravity Payments, feels your pain. He thinks he earns way too much compared to the average worker who’s struggling to make ends meet. “The market rate for me as a C.E.O. compared to a regular person is ridiculous, it’s absurd,” he told the New York Times. Solution?
He cuts his million-dollar salary down to $70,000 and bumps up the minimum salary of all his workers, even the lowliest clerk, to $70,000. We’re just mind-blown.

3. This boss gave $200,000 bonuses to his workers
Sharing is caring. If you think your 3-month bonus is something, listen to this. After Turkish Nevzat Aydin sold his online food ordering company Yemeksepeti for over half a billion dollars, he decided to split $27 million among his 114 employees.
That averages out to $237,000 per employee! Who says the banking industry has the best bonuses?
4. This boss will pay his staff to go on vacation
How would you like $7,500? The catch is you have to go on a vacation. You can’t check your work emails, texts, or calls.
You’re not allowed to work, period. That’s the “paid paid vacation” scheme that American CEOBart Lorang introduced at his tech company FullContact. He’s paying his workers to take some time off and chill – what a nightmare for workaholics!

5. This boss allows staff to work wherever and whenever they want
Want to work from a tropical island? Sure thing! Want to work nights, or have four-day weeks? No problem! Swiss entrepreneur Christian Mischler allows employees for his travel booking app, HotelQuickly, to choose the location, time, and duration of their work as long as they deliver results. No need to deal with traffic jams, morning blues, or office claustrophobia … Sigh.

6. This boss has his workers’ backs no matter what
Of course, no “greatest boss” list is complete without Tony Fernandes, co-founder and CEO of the AirAsia Group. Being a great boss doesn’t just mean giving out wonderful perks to your employees. It also means being there for your staff and exercising leadership when tragedy or crisis strikes.
Fernandes demonstrated this in his handling of the AirAsia Flight QZ8501 tragedy, rushing to meet the families of the passengers and the crew in Surabaya soon after the plane was reported missing. Throughout the crisis, he made very strong and very positive statements in support of his AirAsia staff, praising and rallying them on.

P.S. Curator’s Note :- Recently, I attended an ex-colleague’s son’s wedding dinner at Unique Seafood Restaurant and met up with around 9 former colleagues of mine from 1992 to 1997, and I was really proud when they told me that after so many years, and having gone through so many more employers, they can now say, they had the happiest time when working with me, then. I was really touched.
